In October 2013 we were approached with a difficult project. Sony was planning on opening 3 pop-up stores in various Canadian cities in order to put the PlayStation 4 system on display prior to it's launch. The problem was that the stores were scheduled to open on November 1st (less than a month away). In total, we would have approximately 3.5 weeks to plan, get material, complete the builds, and deliver early to ensure the crews on site had enough time to get everything installed. We knew it would be nearly impossible, but we looked forward to the challenge. Needless to say, we worked 7 days a week, 18-20 hours a day in order to meet the deadline, but at the end of the project we were successful. We completed the build on time, and were able deliver the fixtures to each location allowing enough time for the on-site crews to assemble the millwork, and install all of the lighting and electronics.
We wouldn't have been able to make this project a success without an extraordinary in-shop crew, and a great set of designers (DMD Retail Design) and trades (Garrison Creek Construction) working with us every step of the way. Store locations: - Toronto: Scarborough Town Centre - Calgary: Southcentre Mall - Montreal: Complexe Les Ailes For more information visit the PlayStation blog here. Comments are closed.
